      16 Oct 1883 - Axel born in Nystead, Denmark.

      6 May 1885 - Holger born in Herritslev (Lolland), Denmark

      15 Dec 1890 - Eva is born.

      14 Aug 1894 - Ellen Moran is born

      13 Feb 1905 - Axel registers for emigration, bound for Sydney

      12 Apr 1905 - Axel enters N.Z.

      30 Nov 1908 - Holger registers to emigrate, bound for Wellington

      16 Feb 1909 - Holger leaves Hobart on the Athenic bound for Wellington.

      20 Feb 1909 - Holger arrives in Wellington

      1909 - Holger holds 2 dairy farm sections near Matamau.

      31 Dec 1910 - Axel and Holger both apply for naturalisation.

      1911 - Axel on electoral roll in Matamau as a farmer.

      20 Jan 1911 - Police write in support of both Holger and Axel

      24 Jan 1911 - Magistrate writes letter in support of naturalisation.

      15 Feb 1911 - Magistrate approves application, forwards on.

      11 Mar 1911 - Axel takes Oath of Allegiance.

      20 Mar 1911 - Letters for naturalisation to be prepared

      10 Apr 1911 - Letters prepared

      19 Apr 1911 - Letter sent

      27 Apr 1911 - Naturalisation gazetted.

      11 Sep 1911 - Axel and Eva marry in Umutaoroa.

      31 Aug 1912 - Evelyn is born in Matamau.

      13 Nov 1912 - Holger told he hasn't been in N.Z. long enough for naturalisation.

      1 Dec 1912 - Holger completes further Memorial for Naturalisation, based on his land holdings as evidence he intends to remain in N.Z.

      1913 - Holger and Axel both appear in Wise's NZ Post Office Directory, both living in Matamau.

      3 Jan 1913 - Holger is approved and asked to take Oath of Allegience

      22 Apr 1913 - Holger takes Oath of Allegience

      7 May 1913 - Holger is naturalised.

      22 May 1913 - Holger's naturalisation is gazetted

      30 Sep 1913 - Rita is born in Piripiri.

      1914 - Axel on electoral roll in Matawai, c/- Sloan's Sawmill

      14 Feb 1914 - Holger's dairy farm gets a two year postponement of rent

      8 May 1914 - Holger's two dairy sections transferred to another owner

      9 Jun 1914 - Axel and Eva leave Napier on the Warrimoo, bound for Gisborne. Arrive the next day. No mention of Evelyn or Rita.

      2 Nov 1914 - Railway finished to Matawai.

      Oct 1914 - Axel takes over timber contract referred to in a later court case.

      23 Jan 1915 - Oliver is born in Matawai.

      23 Mar 1915 - Axel in court as plaintiffs in the case had used some of the timber to build a house, so he was to be compensated.

      3 Mar 1915 - Axel appears in a court case in defence of Frank Sloan (his sawmiller employer/contractor).

      22 May 1915 - Holger and Ellen marry

      25 May 1915 - Two Jarlov's on boat to Gisborne from Napier, arriving the next day - Axel and Eva returning from the wedding?

      5 Aug 1915 - Oliver dies.

      21 Oct 1915 - Axel testifies in court case, with reference to him having taken over the felling in October 1914.

      26 Jan 1916 - Axel sues Peacocke for failure to allow him to mill the amount of timber he was able to in a contract.

      2 Feb 1916 - Finding in above court case was in Axel's favour.

      9 Jun 1916 - Ivan is born

      13 Oct 1916 - Sylvie (Holger and Ellen's daughter) is born

      29 Jan 1917 - Axel plays piano at a function in the Matawai Hall.

      27 Feb 1918 - Albert is born in Gisborne

      11 Apr 1918 - Axel speaks at a farewell to another local in the Matawai Hall.

      1919 - Axel on electoral roll in Matawai.

      20 Jan 1919 - Axel plays piano for the Red Cross Ball to raise monies for patriotic purposes

      8 Sep 1919 - Lindsay is born

      8 Jun 1920 - Axel's music at an event described as excellent.

      24 Jun 1920 - Axel is secretary pro tem for the Matawai Branch of the Labor Party.

      14 Jul 1920 - Axel says membership in the N.Z.W.U. at Matawai is at 56, with hopes to rise to 100 within a fortnight

      3 Aug 1920 - Axel plays excellent music at event in the Matawai Hall

      29 Sep 1920 - Axel says timber workers of Gisborne covered by the N.Z.W.U. oppose registration under the Arbitration Act

      1 Dec 1920 - Axel referred to as having paid fees into the N.Z.W.U.

      21 Sep 1921 - Flora is born in Gisborne.

      1922 - Axel on electoral roll in Matawai.

      1928 - Eva on electoral roll in Matawai.

      12 Aug 1929 - Albert and Ivan starts school at Ngongotaha.

      10 Sep 1929 - Lindsay starts school at Ngongotaha.

      20 Dec 1929 - Lindsay, Albert and Ivan finishes school at Ngongotaha.

      1931 - Axel on electoral roll in Ngongotaha as sawyer.

      1931 - Holger living at 81 Constable Street, Newtown, Wellington. He is a timber yardman.

      23 May 1932 - Evelyn and Rita attend a social event in Ngongotaha

      22 Aug 1932 - Evelyn attended an old time dance at the Ngongotaha Hall.

      7 Sep 1932 - Evelyn attended the Ngongotaha Hunt Club Dance

      16 Sep 1932 - Evelyn and Rita ttended an old time dance at the Ngongotaha Hall.

      4 Aug 1933 - Evelyn attended the Catholic Charity Ball presentation of debutantes

      1934 - Evelyn and Cecil Young marry.

      3 Apr 1934 - Albert (shown as J. Jarlov) had points in the cornet section of a band competition in Pukekohe.

      1935 - Holger living at 81 Constable Street, Newtown, Wellington. He is a timber yardman.

      1935 - Axel on electoral roll in Rotoma

      1938 - Holger on the Wellington South electoral roll at 81 Constable Street, as a timber yardman.

      13 Apr 1940 - Rita gets engaged to Robert John Parker.

      15 Mar 1941 - Flora marries Roy Nixon.

      18 Jun 1941 - Albert 'attested' for service in WWII

      22 Sep 1941 - Albert enters camp

      12 Nov 1941 - Albert at Trentham

      21 Feb 1942 - Albie born to Evelyn and Cecil.

      8 Apr 1942 - Albert embarks for England for service.

      Apr-Jun 1942 - Maxine Jarlov (unknown parents) born in Auckland.

      1943 - Holger living at 15 Kenwyn Terrace, Newtown, Wellington. He was a yardman.

      1943 - Axel on electoral roll in Rotoiti.

      1944 - Lindsay marries Dulcie Miekleson

      2 May 1944 - Albert begins forestry survey in Rotoiti.

      10 Nov 1944 - Albert visiting with Holger in Wellington (Eva forwards a letter to him in Newtown).

      1946 - Holger still at 15 Kenwyn Terrace. He was a yardman.

      1946 - Ivan and Katherine Patterson marry.

      1 Nov 1947 - Terry born to Ivan and Kath.

      Feb 1949 - Rita and Patrick Farrelly marry.

      9 Jan 1949 (should be 1950) - Axel applies for age benefit.

      18 Jan 1950 - Confirming what was in the naturalisation application. Letter refers to a memorandum of the 9th instant, which means the same month. One of these years is not right - stamps indicate this one is right.

      28 Mar 1952 - Albert marries Beryl Taylor Swift.

      21 Aug 1953 - Oliver born to Albert and Beryl.

      1957 - Holger now in Miramar, at 34 Darlington Road, Miramar, Wellington. He was a timber worker.

      7 Sep 1958 - Holger dies.

      19 May 1962 - Albert dies.

      29 Oct 1969 - Sylvie (Holger's daughter) dies.

      6 Mar 1975 - Ivan makes a will.

      10 May 1989 - Ellen (Holger's wife) dies.

      15 Jan 1983 - Jarlov reunion at Hamurana Springs, Rotorua.

      4 Sep 1987 - Ivan dies.

      9 Nov 1987 - Rita dies.

      29 Apr 1997 - Lindsay dies.

      5 May 1999 - Evelyn dies.

      11 May 2005 - Flora dies.

      17 Mar 2013 - Jarlov reunion in Rotorua.
